Mark William Poff, 49, of Calabash, N.C., and formerly of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. He was a graduate of Cave Spring High School. Mark was the former owner of Ernie's on the Market and then moved to Calabash, N.C., where he owned and operated Mark Poff Yacht Sales and "The Saltwater Angler" offshore tackle and apparel store. He was an avid fisherman who loved being on the water. Survivors include his parents, Margaret and William Glenwood Poff; sister, Karen Cunningham and husband, Bill; brother, Keith Poff and wife, Jodi, of Roanoke; nieces and nephew, Nicholas Helle, Margaret Ashley Helle, Caroline, Lily, and Mollie Poff; special friend, Vickie Terry; and Mark's dog, Bailey. A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Cave Spring United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Hemmings and the Rev. Dan Barber officiating.
